God's ProvisionGod’s Provision

My mind has been stuck in a rut for the last couple of days. I guess it could have been focussed on worse things. I have been really thinking and appreciating God’s provision. Provision is defined as the act or process of providing. When we think about God’s provision, it is an active process on God’s part to care for us. These verses listed below are all about God providing in all types of situations. When a lot of people think about God’s provision, they are in reference to finances or wealth. Even though that may be part, that is really not the intent. The intent is that God is the one doing the providing when circumstance are out of our control.
This has really been an encouragement to me this week as we hear all the news about the “fiscal cliff” and how much debt our nation has incurred. So, I may get anxious about what congress is doing, but my faith is strongly grounded in God’s provision for me.

Philippians 4:19
New International Version (NIV)
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
